I just started using forums again after a while of hiatus and I have to say it seems there's a lot of people who use Ai responses. I see a lot of em dashes, the classic 'dramatic' replies GPT and them give, etc. I was just curious as to who does it and why. There's no hate regardless, I'm just curious to why people do it as I personally feel like it could remove some of the social aspect to forums but that's once again just a personal opinion and I'd love to hear why you do it, if you do 🙂 (Once again, no judgement. I'm not anti-Ai, nor do I care one way or another <3)

I've only used it when I can't figure out a better way to word what I want to say.

I am not going to lie I do it.

One main reason I do use it on forums when advertising on forums I sometimes wonder if I going to stay their so instead of writing like my own type of style another way privacy and protection.

I've never used AI for creating content and never will. I have no objections to using it as a tool e.g. to check spelling and grammar but I'm dead against all forms of AI created content. It's already having a hugely negative impact on the music and film industries.

I've played around with AI bots on my forums, but I've never used AI to post as myself on a forum. I've been around here a long time and people know me. I think people would quickly notice if I was using AI in my posts around here. 😛

I use it only when I want to learn more about a particular forum/topic to understand some background in a brief summary so I can respond, but I don't use it to write my own thoughts, it usually doesn't word it the way I want it to.
