We used to have Echo devices set up around the house however, my husband got paranoid about our privacy so we no longer have them plugged in except when we have people over and are playing music or something.

I used Alexa for website analysis in the past and it works well for a paid version

Nah don't really bother with them, seems like you have to have a screaming match with them before they decide to start listening to you lmao

None here. I'd never say never but I'd want that kind of device to be capable of delivering much more before I'm willing to sacrifice the invasion of privacy.

No, we didn’t go the Amazon route. I’m all about the Google home devices. I’ve got the doorbell, the thermostat, etc. 🙂

In the future, your voice technology won't just tell you the result(s) of your search. It will also allow you to order from the store FROM that voice device. I want to get into that industry someday. That thing is gonna be... COMPETITIVE. Like, Call of Duty competitive. But more and more people would have to accept the technology, and the government would need to regulate it here and there.

This is minority report shit.

I realize you can order your voice or other device to turn things on/off, but this is gonna expand into other ideas.

Have a few around the house which are good for just playing some background music while doing chores or just to have on. That's the basis of how we use them.

My in laws do use Alexa, my wife and I do not.

My Alexa Echo device has been pretty good. It performs just nice but the thing is that there are not many skillls that I need to keep it on.

I don't use any of those. I think it's bad enough that Facebook gives me ads about things I was discussing in real life with my husband. That's creepy enough even when they claim they don't listen through our phones.

My girlfriend has us using an Alexa alarm clock through out the week.

Nope. My hubby got his mom one of those tablets where you can tell Alexa to call someone and then you can video chat with people. His mom moved further away so he got her one of those so they can talk to one another.

We mainly use Google Home/Nest Minis. We have one Alexa in the living room but it's not as good for quick search queries

Nope, I'm not lazy enough to need to control my stuff with a voice and I don't like stuff being hackable.

How interesting! I didn't expect to see this many responses that you do not use Alexa devices regularly as well.

i may self prefer google products, but my partner got a free echo she won from work and got a firetv cube, from experience with them google i feel are far better with their product range when it comes to digital home devices.
