Do you use subtitles?

I do, even for my native English speaking shows. I do better when I can hear but also SEE the words. Especially if some have accents. Now, I won’t watch shows without subtitles lol Got too used to it 🙂

I do use subtitles from time to time but it's only if they are really needed if I don't understand the accent, the TV is hard for me to hear maybe due to some kind of background noise like work that was being done in the house next door or even if I am watching a TV show that is not English but has English subtitles 🙂

My vision is horrible and I generally don’t wear my glasses at home, so I wouldn’t be able to read the subtitles on my TV. No sense in having that feature on. 😛

I'm the opposite. I'm half deaf, and I watch shows with subtitles. I started watching shows with subtitles when I was a kid and was watching tv when I wasn't suppose to be to keep the noise down 😛 Now its hard to watch without subtitles as I just gotten so use to them.

It took me a while to get used to it. I watch a lot of Japanese flicks that don't have English dub so it's definitely become a habit for me over the years.

They're too distracting for me which means a lot of those foreign films and shows I will probably never be able to watch 🙁

I use them a lot of I am not watching movies in my native language. Even for English movies I use subtitles a lot

I use them when I need to. I find that once they are on my eyes are drawnto them and I miss stuff from the video.

I always use subtitles if they're available. I've been watching things this way since I was a teenager so I'm used to it!

I don't really have a preference with subtitles. I tend to just go with what the default is. Unless the video is in a non English language, in which case I need them on so I can understand what is even being said.
