Yes, I used Wine to emulate Foobar 2000 on Ubuntu 9.04. It was my first experience with Wine and it work flawlessly. Sound was coming out of my speakers when I played an MP3 with Foobar 2000.

If Wine, can emulate most of the games, and programs I normally use on Windows. I might have to stop buying Windows Computers, and buy a Computer without an OS to install Ubuntu onto, and used the cash I save for a better Video card.

It kind of is, it's just a compatibility layer, not a full emulator at large but many consider it as an emulator.

I just use Virtual box with XP installed, runs everything in it's own layer.

I heard of the program before, but haven't used it because I'm not running Linux.
