Are you like me and suck at writing css? And when you do try, it takes hours of trial and error? lol i sound like an infomercial lol.

Anyway i came a came across this amazing plugin that does all the heavy liftinig for you, and in real time. Crazy easy to use, even for a stoner like me lol

Its called Yellowpencil , there is a free (limited) version , and a pro version

Looks interesting, will keep it in mind when I dabble with WP again. 🙂

Not a bad little editor for those who don't want to spend hours dabbling in CSS!

That's cool. The OceanWP theme I use for Movie Hub comes with almost a million different CSS settings etc but this is good for those themes that don't rely so much on the in built customizer.

Looks easy and simple and far faster to able to get the job done, Nice. Some smart people out there

But for free plan you can never start monetization with Wordpress so this is the fact for using Wordpress but if you are just blogging without expecting any return then Wordpress is for you.

monetize, you can with other methods

i was talking about the free plan with Yellowpencil. Wordpress is always a free script to use on your server, i wasnt talking about the free wordpress hostiing

As I remember to monetize wordpress you need to upgrade to business plan to start setup business ads like adsence one you are mentionning.
Not at all, i use Wordpress, and i have no idea what you are talking about with a business plan. When i installed Wordpress on my VPS that iis all i did from my CPANEL on OVH VPS Hostiing. I did buy a premium theme from Themeforest and a couple of plugins for SEO and various other backend things.

Again i am NOT talking about wordpress.com at all , if you look into it a bit, you can download and install the Wordpress script on any host you choose, just as you do with the various forum scripts that are available.

Here is where you can download Wordpress https://en-ca.wordpress.org/download/

But WHM/CPANEL has sofalicious which will install Wordpress on your server for you with the click of a button. Then you can customize it however you want to, choose from one of the 1000s of free themes they offer (most of the free ones have pro versions of them) or go to Themeforest and choose one to buy from there as i did for gtmemes.com

You can then use any ad service you want on it, there are tons of various plugins like ADACE to make integrating advertising easier to impliment if you want, although Adsense now has Auto Ads and they just place them for you , with you just having to place a bit of code in your <head>

For forum admins Wordpress has a couple of great forum plugins as well, i do have one of them, i havent messed to much wiith it, its called WPFORO. Wordpress supports users with the simple plugin called Buddypress, which allows registrations and user profiles , you can see mine here (heavily customized from the default Buddypress) https://gtmemes.com/members/gtmemes/

This is typically true I was talking about wordpress com which has a lot of restrictions so it is better to host on VPS and enjoy of features rather than still limited to wordpress com which requires upgrades.

Wpforo is pretty cool. I have it on a test site and it's got some real nice features.

ya i never used Wordpress.com ... this thread was initially about Yellowpencil , which is what i was talking about when i mentioned there being a free version (of Yellowpencil). It is a plugin usable with the standalone wordpress instalation

I have before, but not on my forum. I like it, but never have come up with stuff to post or do.

I like this, I'll have to have a little play around with it in my WP Sandbox. I'm currently using CSS Hero which sounds similar to this - they don't have a free version though, which is a disadvantage
