Most people nowadays use their phones to tell what time it is. When people do wear watches it seems to be just for accessorizing purposes. As for me, I still wear a watch for the sole purpose of being able to tell the time at a glance without looking at my phone. 🙂 I only own two watches - a Timex brand and Skagen brand. Do you wear a watch?
I wore a watch for a while, then I just got annoyed to the point of having this plastic/metal thing on my wrist that I took it off and stuck to telling time on my phone, since I usually always have it with me. 😛
After my last watch broke, I never got it replaced. I wore a watch daily in my final two years at high school and last year. If I find a decently priced watch that I really like, I'll probably wear one again because I think they look good.
I wear a watch, and like Sharon I wear it only for the purpose of being able to check the time. I don't have my phone on me 100% of the time and even when I do, it's still easier to just glance down at my watch over getting my phone out of my pocket and switching it on.
My watch also has the date on it which I find really useful.
I started wearing a watch when I first started running cross-country in high school. For a couple years, I always wore it. Lately, I've only been wearing it when I run. I stopped wearing my watch at work because it gets in the way. 😛
I haven't worn a watch since High school and even then I didn't wear it much. I just use my cell phone to check the time or I ask other people what time it is.
I always wear a watch. I just ordered a new automatic one tonight as a matter of fact! I find wearing them makes me more conscious of time, so I'm more productive. It's also handy to have when I'm without my phone, such as at work or during class.
I haven't worn a watch in a number of years, though I prefer watches over cell phones, due to the ability to check the time, and date (if it is a digital watch). I just might get back into wearing watches. 🙂
