Do you worry about global warming?

How serious are the earth's environmental problems?

I think about it and do my part however I don't sit here and worry about something I have no control over.
I think the planet is doomed, we are overpopulated.

I think about it in the sense that it's something to be concerned about, and I do what I can to be responsible, but I don't sit in trepidation of all that's going on and wonder when the end is going to come. It's a global problem that needs global solutions.

Yes and no, but end of the day as a person there is nothing that I really can do other then common sense of what I do anyway. With rubbish is to put the rabbish in the right place, the right bins other then throwing out of a car window. I only use the car couple times a week (cost of gas anyway) and so I'm not really smoking the earth.

Regards the UK we are only 5% compare to India and China, China are like eating up 40% into the plant and so they need to do something about it. whatever we do in the UK won't make any god damn diffeance.

I thought we were in an ice age? At least, that's what we were told in the 70s. The warming part is actually one step within the ice age according to scientists.

No, I'm not worried.

I don't really think about it. It's something that's basically beyond my control. Even if it were the doom of us all, there's not much I can do about it, so why worry?

Actually, contrary to popular belief, the opposite is more likely to be true. Declining birthrates coupled with ageing populations present huge problems for the future.

In order for a society to maintain its numbers it needs every woman to produce 2.1 children. If the average falls below that number the population will start to fall. The birth rate in the US is currently 1.64, in Japan it's 1.34 and in China 1.28.

Many counties are predicting a 50% decline in population numbers by the end of this century and the majority of the people living within those societies will be too old to support themselves.

Back to global warming; whether it's a natural phenomena or man made, the results are very concerning but I'm sure the planet will survive even if we don't.

Won't have any issues in New Zealand most woman have about 5-6 kids and bludge off the tax payer.

Oh wow! I didn't know that.

All my nieces and nephews and even my daughter have declared they aren't going to have any kids. It seems to be the trend amongst the kids I know from the midwest in the US. They just aren't interested in having families.

I do, but the climate change the democrats are proposing (especially before Ohio and the new accidents) are ideologically dumb. The want to ban a lot of things that are rudimentary. Like, you can't ban gas, and fossil fuels because it would eliminate everyday objects like ovens, heaters, and cars altogether. Its baffling.

We haven't figured out a new technology that would get us OFF fossil fuels or gas. Electric "battery" is going to suck more electricity out. It's just so... dumb. It's not just that, it's just gonna be expensive, so is Lithium Ion.

The new ideas we have are not even working that well anyway. It's like the wind farm that's 20mins away in the ocean that offers allot of work and yet we do not use it to power the town at all... it ends up being wasted and worse part about it all since it's built in the sea that it has to be replaced every 10 years and they can't even be recycled and that wasted

That, too. I agree.

I have mixed feelings about it. I've learned not to worry about things I can't control. I can't make people do the right thing. I can only control what I do.

Yes and no, I worry about in the sense that I do feel it does exist and I do feel it is a check we've written that, when cashed, will bankrupt us as a society, but, at the same time, it isn't anything I can do about it (no choice I can make will ever offset the damage being done on a major level).

To be honest, no I am not worried about it.
Sure things will have to be considered and I try do my very best to do my bit as well....still...In the near future, everything will end, whether we like it or not. Unless we create some sort of recyclable spaceship, it's difficult for humans to survive and creating such a thing without any power source like sun....is difficult for us humans. So, I try not to think that humans will be around for billions and billion of years.

The point is....I don't really think and worry about global warming all that much.
