I just spent the last hour installing a new theme for my forum and I really started to get frustrated because the way I had to do it felt so inefficient! I had to manually create each folder for the theme's images and upload each individual image file one at a time. Surely there's a faster way to do this or is this really the only way? There is no way to highlight multiple image files then upload them all in one go? I guess Imgur.com and Photobucket has spoiled me all this time. lol

I use them. What ftp program are you using?

Hmm, I haven't had too good of an experience with them in the past. They were limiting quite a lot of resources, and denied that they were. I tried to cancel, but talked to a person over the phone for about half an hour who was apparently called a "Retention Agent". They ended up crediting my account with $40-$50 in credit, and still decided to cancel after all the credit was used.

As far as the file issue, I've never had that issue, with any host as a matter of fact. It could be your FTP client, or the way your doing it. You're probably trying to use the cPanel file manager, which I know doesn't work. I use FileZilla for most of my FTP connections.

I guess that's my problem... I didn't use an FTP program. I guess that's a separate software I should install when it comes to installing things that have multiple files?

I know I sound like a total newbie at this programming stuff, I just never really got into it myself.

You don't have to.
Just compress it (only in .zip format) and upload it to the root folder 😀

Is it really that simple? No way! That would be wonderful if it is!
