I don't think that I've ever actually used the admin notes feature in the ACP, other than testing to make sure that the admin notes feature actually works.

The staff notes which staff can put on users was a different story as I've actually seen two of my supermods discussing how they were going to deal with a user via the notes instead of using the staff forums.

Is there much point in the admin notes? Do you use them? What do you think of them?

I don't ever use them, since I usually have a hidden sub forum for staff members to talk in private. Though on one forum I was staff on in the past used the admin notes to talk to other staff members since the site owner forgot to add a staff section. He later added a staff section and we never used the admin notes after that.

Yes I use Admin notes regularly. I'm admin of a forum which has 3 admins already. I use the Admin Notes to notify other admins about the things that are not worth creating a thread in Staff Discussions forum.

Only thing I use them for is writing stupid messages and seeing how long it takes for the other admin to see it and write something in response.

Not really. It's just an extra thing that's not actually needed. Nice idea though, I guess. 😛

I actually use it to keep track of a few past stats and hold info on my other sites that admins would need to know.

I've never used them, I usually just annoy my admins on skype if something needs to be done or something. Everything else is logged as a thread in the admin board. 😀

I've never used it. Nor even user notes.

We have "Staff notes" and we do use them to indicate promotions to teams, warnings, breaking of rules, etc.

phpBB actually doesn't have this feature. 😛 Don't think I used this on my IPB forum though, which does have it.

I've used them a few times but only for a to-do list.

I'll write silly things there like (for example) "Hey you sexy admin you"

Never had a legitimate use though. I like saving notes in .txt files on my computer.

Not really. Invisionpower has that option and I definitely added the "to do list" the fact that I forget that it's even there. LOL

I have a staff selection. And unfortunately I'm the only staff of my forum of 35 members
