So, does anybody here use or still use IRC(Internet-Relay-Chat)?

I've just started using earlier today and I quite like it. Even if it is old, I still quite like it and I can see myself using it a lot.

What about you?

It's been well over 20 years ago since I was on IRC! I used to belong to a Fantasy Basketball League on there which got me started loving the Chicago Bulls!

Damn, 20 Years ago...Well, IRC was quite a popular way of communicating back then so I can see why you used it.

I used mIRC many years ago and seem to hop on from time to time for nostalgic reasons. However, it's not something I'm a regular on. I use to use a local network, however, my go-to is DALnet.

I have around 3 chatrooms still active on IRC. But that's pretty much it. I don't think in next 3 years there would be people there.

I never really used it, but my brother did when he was heavily into Counter-Strike.

Discord seems to have pretty much replaced it from what I can see..

Yeah, it pretty much has replaced IRC. That's because, it's more modern and that it has more Features than IRC.

I find it quite cool that IRC is still being used.

I never need to use it, Then again why would I use it since it's old and far out-datted, team-speak 3 was one major platform that I Used for years until Discord came around. I use TS3 overtaken IRC then discord overtaken TS3 LOL

I use IRC about once a year for NaNoWriMo. I also am using it more recently for a forum I'm on, though as it's for a forum, I'm still on the forum a million times more.

I don't think I've ever used it. I tried it once or twice, but nobody was in the room or something. I just use Discord.

I think 2019 and onwards many other slack and clones would be possible.

I've been using it for a good chunk of years now, it's pretty cool and still is compared to back in the day when it was more popular for gaming.
