Does God Exist?

Don't you believe in the wind? 😛
Wind? Well you can feel the wind. Here's a better one. Time. -😉- You can't see, hear, feel, touch, or smell time, yet almost everyone revolves their lives around it and basically worships it. -lol- -roll-

Like we need the wind 😛
Nothing great enough to worship 😀

Yes, I do believe, 100%. Honestly, how do you think all this could have been created?
Also take this into consideration; You say you can't believe it happened all in Six Days. Remember that one day for God is 1,000 years. So, 6 x 1,000 = 6,000.
I was born a Christian, and will stay one.

No, your parents tought you about the religion and nothing else, that's why you grew up a christian and that's why you're a christian, have you studied any other religion? if you did I'm sure you'll feel the same way as some people feel towards the christian religion, just think about it...

What's your point in that 6 x 1,000 = 6,000 thing? Ofcourse that's right because it's some-what basic math...

I beleive in God. Why would someone waste their time making such story up.

If God did not exist how was the world created then?

You mean like Santa Claus? The easter bunny? The tooth Fairy?
Thing's like the Loch Ness monster? Bigfoot 😛
You know how many stories/books there is such as the bible and so forth? Mankind been making up stories and writing books since when man started to learn languages and such!

My neighbors were atheist, then the other week they started going to Church, and they are turning into Christains. (I think 🙂)
good for them 😀 Its nice to see people doing positive things
People don't have to go to church to be positive and do positive things. -roll-

People only believe in god because they're afraid of hell. They do good deeds because they're forced as you can say it. But, we are her for a reason so yes.

I see so many people claiming that they're christians and good folks but yet they take advantage of people, mulest children, and do all the things that they tell others not to and claim that are bad...

What's the word I'm trying to get at, I believe it starts with an H... Is it hyprocrate? Did I spell that right? -lol-

It's hypocrite. -🙂- Unfortunately, it's true in so many ways. It's not just that though. Their is a lot of passing judgement among the Christian community. I know because I used to be in it. It's come in such a twisted direction since the teachings of Jesus.

Here is an interesting post I made on another forum:

I would like to belive, but why would he/she/it let "war' and all of these bad things in the world happen?

I think that since God is moreso within us, that God actually does want to do away with the turmoil. We're just resisting that. We enjoy our world like it is most the time. One might say, for example, that they're against something like the Holocaust, yet hold a grudge against someone. The way I see it, the only difference between slaughtering millions of people and holding a grudge against someone is just degree. Other than that, they're the same thing.

If God were to completely prevent war, then there would be no evil. If there were no evil, people wouldn't know the difference between right and wrong - meaning there would be no purpose of life.

I believe there is a god. I promised myself I would read at eleven, but I was getting carried away on my computer when suddenly my internet shut down at eleven and it wouldn't turn back on. Lol -roll-

I am a logical human being. I have been presented the religious standpoint on God. Now, as an educated and logical being, I must look at the other end of the spectrum. There is an online move that projects this other end of the spectrum rather well. The movie can be seen at Zeitgeist.com Not the "Addendum" Movie but the movie to the right of it. It's about two hours long but only the first 45 minutes involve religion.

One thing I just want want to point out is that the bible has been translated thousands of times. There is no one right translation of the bible. Something have been translated so many time cannot possible sustain much literal truth. Although the morals are good and the stories are miraculous, they're nothing but fantastical.

I'm just playing devils advocate though...

How did we become? If everything happens as a result of something else, there had to be something that started it all.

For people who believe in the big bang theory, where'd the asteroid come from? It's movement was projected by a force we know nothing of. Perhaps God?

But, I'd also like to point out that there have been hundreds of figures in the history of the world that have had the following qualities:

Born 'December 25th'
Birth signaled by a bright star in the east
Allegedly Born of a Virgin
Was adored by 3 kings
Performed Miracles
Had 12 followers or disciples
Was crucified
and 3 days after his/her death, was resurrected.

History tells us that the very first figure to be recorded to have these qualities was an Egyptian named Horus.

If you watch the Zeitgeist movie, this will all be explained better. It also ties in the Zodiac which is incredibly relevant to this subject.

The bottom line is, we'll never know so live your life following the golden rule: Treating others just like you'd like to be treated.

Here is my view on this "God".

God is the biggest word for most people. God is the so called creator of everything.

To me, God is the answer to the many, many questions that the human mind cannot comprehend. God has always been this, ever since religion was created. It started out as multiple gods but it is all the same. They all answer the same questions, such as how did the world and everything in it come to be what it is? Us as humans, it is our nature to try and discover the purposes and answers to many things. God is the solution to the ones that we cannot find.

I do not believe in any form of a higher power and I never will because of these reasons among others.

I agree. I think that God is the answer to questions that we humans simply cannot comprehend. Whether or not he exists is unknown. Maybe humans created "God" to explain things unknown?

That is what I was trying to point out. ~lol~

If there is a God, (which I doubt)then I hope he's nothing like the Christian or Muslim one.
