Ask what something is without Googling it?

Really is annoying IMO when people do it.

Nope.. Life is to short to get worked up over something so pointless.

Ugh sbfc...just Google it!

I sometimes get annoyed.

I don't get annoyed. I just give the person an answer to their question and move on with my life.

I'll answer it. It's fine really. Sometimes Googling something won't get you the right answer anyways (you need to find the right keywords for whatever you're looking for).

I always Google first, but like helping people out, if it gives me rep 😛

I don't have a problem with it. I do have a problem with people telling me to google something when I ask them a question though. I think in a world so technology crazy it's nice to have a reason to connect with people even if it is over the net and googling everything prevents you from asking someone something that could lead to an interesting conversation or a new friend.

I try and avoid google for basic research and use actual sources from a desserted place called the library.

It's not annoying, but irritating.

That's sort of the same thing

I just think it's a pointless contribution to the thread ''what is it?'' or whatever

It doesn't really bother me, but it can be annoying if that is all they do. Ask questions about it. Annoying.

Same here. I mean, what if you really need to know something, but you don't have time to look it up? It drives me crazy when people tell me to look on Google for the answer. Okay, I'm guilty of that as well, but still.

Well what is the point of posting ''what is it?'' in a topic in the first place?

I think anyone who is writing a thread about something should do the honours of explaining what they are talking about anyway...
It doesnt really bother me, as i dont mind explaining to someone who is not aware..but most of the time people post "what is it" purely to gain a post count...most probably wont return to find out.
