When you are a blogger, you set your own schedule and can post when/how/where you want. But that can also lead to procrastination or simply not working. Is it better to have a daily deadline for a blog post so that you are required to submit a blog post, much the same way you would if you were working at a job? Do you have other requirements for your blog (or forum) that keep you on track so you don't slack even when you feel like taking the day off?
Never really tried it but it could help... I typically go through stages of having loads of willpower to write a blog post a day, to not writing for weeks on end. I have not really tried a schedule yet so I am thinking of giving that a try first.
When I had a blog, I used to make a deadline for myself to make at least one post a day. At first it worked, but when I got busier and unable to make a decent post each day, I got upset and decided to just discard that deadline, haha. It can be helpful, it shouldn't become a new stress or limiting our ideas. It's okay to miss the deadline, since quality matters more.
I don't have deadlines as much per say but I try to make sure that there will be new posts for each day. Usually when I add a new post to my blog, its a post for about 7 days ahead of the day I add it. I do more scheduling than publishing because I keep the blog full of posts to be added each day or every other day.
The Wordpress Scheduling feature is probably the best feature on there 😀
