Does reading a lengthy novel ever feel like a chore to you?

I've never been much of a reader, I get too easily distracted with technology. But for the most part, it does feel like a chore to me because I guess it feels like it'll take me forever to read a book due to getting too easily distracted and just losing interest so quickly.

Yes, reading a book can feel like a chore to me.
I used to enjoy reading, but when I was at school, one class always forced us to read at the start for half an hour. This is when I lost interest in reading as it started to feel more like a chore instead of something I enjoyed.

When I was a kid, reading a book was never a chore and I used to enjoy it but as I got older, even though I do enjoy reading books, trying to squeeze it all in felt like a chore after a while and I stopped trying.

Depends on the book. If it's something I'm into and really invested in, then no, not really. I'd rather try to spend more time reading it. If it's something I'm not really invested in though, then I usually have to force myself to read it, and it takes me longer to get through it. I try to spend a little bit of time reading every day, but if it's something I'm not really interested in, it can be hard to motivate myself to do so.

If I'm supposed to read it for a class, a group or something similar as part of required reading, it definitely can end up feeling like a chore. For enjoyment, usually no, but I say that because sometimes poorly edited books are frustrating to read and then I end up wishing I never started.

Depends on the book. It has to be something that's I am into lol

Reading can feel like a chore at times. My eyes aren't the same. They are now blurry, so I have to read with glasses, which I find uncomfortable at times.

I used to read for leisure and enjoyment in the past but it has become a chore now because I have so many pressing things to pursue. The only time you would see me read is when that thing has financial implications.

Even when I am interested yes, but it depends on the day. On a really good day, it doesn't feel like a chore.
