Does SEO still work?

I know everywhere online that it says SEO is crucial but i've tried it and it seems like a waste of time. You barely get any traffic and stuff. What does it take for SEO to work?

SEO is a long term process. If you think that you will do SEO for 7 days and after that you will get traffic and leads that is not possible. It's a continuous process.
