Does your forum offer a promotion section? What do you allow to be posted there? What services do you offer?

I don't have a section but I do allow advertising in their signature & profile. I do have a thread for Achievements where members can talk about anything that is personal or forum related.

I don't. Because they can "encourage" the users to go to "x" website. Kinda the same reason why I don't use Discord for my website(s).

At times I think the same, but It's not always about me or the site it is about others..

SH has a links directory, which is kind of like a promotions section.
Right now the only category is Affiliate but I am planning on an adding category for resources and members sites.

I have a section on FAF where people can promote their forums. I also have a link directory feature too to give something extra.

I approve all links and posts in those feature just to make sure we prevent spam.

Peak does. Which I am going to be updating soon. Adding link directory to the site. Not sure what I will call it. But Debate HQ doesn't. No plans on adding it either.

My forum does not have a promotion section, however, I am thinking to add a marketplace section where users can buy, sell and trade virtual goods and services.

I typically have a promotion forum on my sites, especially if they're in the digital/tech topics. I also typically allow advertising in other places such as signatures and avatars 🙂

Yep my gaming forum does allow members to promote their projects. It doesn't even have to be gaming related either! It's a great way to help other website owners.

Almost all forums I have been on have a promotion section. They are mostly non functional on general forums especially paid to post forums because members are just there to make some bucks.

I have observed this too. You see some promotion sections that have less than 10 threads.

We used to have a forum promotion section, but my online friend built a directory for the software and now we just link to the directory via a redirect forum on the board index of my forum.
