Does your forum use rank images?

My forum does. I made these little sprite images of the different tools in Animal Crossing games.

Nah, Not really. The status of the members weither they are a admin, moderator or user appears on the same link as the username on the topic pages. There is ranks but they don't have images. They are boxes underneath the rank.

Fireboard is confusing sometimes lol

Since those are the only two forums that I publically run at this time (Although SS isnt open) thats all I can say.

Stars can work well as rank images, I have seen some forums use stars and they look nice.

Stars are overused in my eyes. Too many forums use them as the ranking system.

As someone once said in the 6 FU's of forums, ranks only make older members feel more powerful than new members, when in the end everyone counts just as much on a perfect forum.

Nope, dont really see the need for them.
Especially like on this forum (no offense). It has the title of the rank written out and then right under that it has an image with the same exact information again.

When I do go to a forum, I never really care about my rank but for some people having different ranks can encourage posting.
