Doing SEO in 2025

What’s your current seo strategy?

Are you focusing on long tail keywords along with short tail?

Are you focusing on content that aligns with user intent?

Basically I am doing some old off-pages seo techniques like article, blog commenting, Directory and Bookmark submission. I am focusing on long tail keywords along with short tail.

Now I want to know what to do new technique in off-pages SEO ?

Think about creating genuine connections with your audience through engaging content and storytelling. Focus on optimizing for voice search and local experiences since travelers love personal recommendations. And don't forget to keep an eye on the latest trends, like sustainability, to resonate with your visitors.

I think it's really hard to focus on specific keywords with a forum. You're pretty much at the whim of user generated content.

Long tail keywords doesn't work every time short tail are more better.

Do you have actual proof to your statement that short tail keywords are better for long term and short term seo gains? If so, I’d love to hear it!

I think, at least for a forum, if your goal is for individual forum threads to each rank on their own merit, then that's going to be long tail no matter what. Short tail would be things like ranking the homepage or forum index pages for "<subject name> forum" or "<subject name> community". Websites that have a lot of content pages are going to want to focus on long tail. I don't see any other way to do it?

Your
Forum threads will rank as long as there’s good navigation and they’re easier to find.

So, if you’re interlinking your forum threads to other threads that are similar, they’ll be able to rank better.

Most forum softwares include the title of the forum topic along with the meta description of the forum topic, so it’ll rank based on google’s standards.

So, long tail and short tail come into the picture no matter how you do it. You can also build links to forum threads that you want to rank higher as well.

If a forum topic is way too long, Google will cut the title off & replace it their own version. I wouldn’t include the site’s name in the topic’s titles.

The same techniques work but you need to work hard as the competition is fierce.
