Domain help needed please

I recently bought a domain at namecheap and I need to know how to point it to a subdomain at my current host (Dreamhost). How do I do that?

Obviously I don't want it to just redirect so when you type in my new domain, it changes it to my subdomain, but I want it to keep the new domain as the address (mynewdomain.com/contactus as opposed to subdomain.olddomain.com/contactus).

Use add-on domains in your cPanel, frist make your domain on namecheap redirect to your hosts nameservers. Then just use add-on domains and tell where you want the domain to be redirected to in the file location.

So the file location would be.

home/public_html/contactus

It should work.

I agree with the trick provided by DTMaster for your domain name issue. As it is the only one best solution for setting it up.

Try it, it will fix your issue.
