Domain Name Help

I am currently using a free site with a really long domain name. I am thinking about upgrading to a paid site so that I have access to more features, like my root directory. I have already been advised that my current domain is way too long and will be hard to remember, so I am looking for suggestions that will be relative and seo friendly. I am also thinking about using a .org rather than a .com because I have heard they are thought of by users as informational type sites which is what I have. Please take a moment to see what I am doing and make whatever suggestions you can.
