Does anyone take donations on their forum to help raise money for a specific charity? How well did that work for you?

We did that years ago at Christianity Haven. It really didn't work out as well as I had hoped. Members prefer to donate to their own favorite charities.

I think it’s tough getting donations right, a lot of people may not trust that their donation will actually make it to the intended charity, or that you may take a cut from the donation etc - no matter how well intentioned the person setting the donation system up may be. This is why a lot of people prefer donating direct to the charity themselves as @Katrina has mentioned already.

Nope, Can't get normal day-to-day donations, not alone charity, did it on Twitch stream once and failed, had nothing from it.

People are more inclined to donate to someone they know rather than a charity.

When I first bought FP, we had a monthly FP$ charity event. People could convert their FP$ to a USD donation to whatever charity we selected for that month.

Why don't you try this again? There's a lot of people with FP$ on here.
