Don't you guys find it funny

Wow...I wonder if dot.tk is limited in different countries.

Not sure of the reason, but last I remember, if you rename your site to have a .tk, you usually have ads before the site loads.

I am almost certain that is only if you get a free domain from http://dot.tk

I don't see why anyone would pay $20 for a .tk domain when there are many better well known domain extensions for a cheaper price (especially with money off coupon codes).

Not to mention that .tk domains are knwon to be used to scam and such, so reputation would hurt.

Yeah, I'm not sure why it's that expensive.

By the way, is tk a country code?

From the Wikipedia link posted above -
.tk is the Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Tokelau, a territory of New Zealand located in the South Pacific.

And 1,500 people live there. So not many people from that country are going to use the domains 😉

If not posted before when you have a .tk you cannot see the rest of your "website/forum/blog" link correct? So godaddy.com probably allows you to see the "Rest" of your links. 😉 just a hunch though.

That's a good point, Raymond. Because a friend of mine and I were discussing domains in general, and he said something that .tk wasn't even a real domain; just a masker of the actual url or whatever. So I bet that is why GoDaddy are selling .tk's, is so that you can use it like a real TLD, not just a masker.

Are they out of their minds?
One would think, however they need money to pay for all of those Super Bowl commercials, so why not overcharge for a crappy domain extension?
