Don't you hate promotion sites?

Exactly what you said, but it's hard to be original on a promotion forum now. There's really no other services people can come up with, and they just think , " i'll copy what FP does because they are popular " but it doesn't work, because no one wants to join a site exactly the same as FP with less members.

not to be a suck up or anything. But this one is definitely the best. I have been to a lot of other ones. they are not as good.

or something like that.

That's true but the more you promote the more back links you get meaning the better your search engine rankings are.

True but how much help will it be to have a link in a dead forum?

It depends but every back link helps, besides what's 2 minutes of your time, and if you don't give a site the chance to grow then why bother? Imagine this, you post on the site, the site grows, that means your back link was promoted in the early stages of the forum, hence increasing your link even more. A dead forum is only dead because people brush it off.

I know ideas are a bit hard to find now these days but I mean there are way to many forums that just copy others.

But advatsing on lots of different ones is alright but ones advertised on here have the same members so you are really your
just telling some to go on your forum twice.

I understand what you mean, but my point is everyone says all these sites are copying off FP but they are forgetting FP wasn't the first promotion forum out?....

I feel like The Web Tower is an original idea (at least somewhat?). And I like being fresh and innovative, so when I add a forum, I will definitely try to come up with new ideas. If it's what the user wants, it's what I try to give them. 🙂

Doesn't matter if FP was the first promotion forum or not. Fact of the matter is, other failure forum owners keep blatantly copying FP's layout, board titles, board descriptions and what not.

At times I do start to hate promotion forums as everyone feels like theres a need to make one, when you are on the biggest promotion site their is on the web.

I wouldn't mind a new promotion site with a copule of good services that would actually work and be used. But i dare say promotion sites do get on my back.

I don't hate promotion sites, they give me some backlinks and are where pretty much all of my members come from.

The newer ones aren't original, but it's near impossible to be original now. Unique service ideas are very difficult to come by, but yeah. I do think people should at the very least come up with unique names.

When I've run promotion forums, I've never really come up with many unique services if any. I find it too difficult 😛

Finally, a lot of promotion forums these days are painfully bad. No domain, not even a co.cc or a co.nr and with empty forums and a poor template. Some are doing ok, for example Cerium (even though it got hacked) and even Ultimate Adverts is hanging on I think.

Doesn't mean FP was the first to have this layout, board titles, board descriptions etc. Im sure there would have been thousands of sites with this same content before FP. You act as if FP was the first, that is my point but you all aren't understanding lol.

They're your first stop when you open a new forum, so no I don't hate them. What I do hate though, is the fact that they're so many of them, all copies of one another.

I've come up with some pretty unique ideas for a Promotion Forum, that I haven't seen of anyone yet. Newkirk has seen a few of my ideas too. Not that I've ever actually acted on them. I created a site, but then just said screw it. The ideas I had would be a little slow to start up, because to fully function, you need to "complete the circle", and when starting them out, you're only drawing parts of one.

I did PM theezy to see if he was interested in taking them in, but he didn't show any interest...

To be fair to other 3rd party Promotion Sites, there are many people out there who love to advertise on every site they can in hopes of getting more traffic. But mostly, yes...they do usually fail.

I hate small promotion forums. If another one is large and gets a lot of traffic, I could care less about if its a copy of another or not. Its all about results. Nothing irritates me more than to see a low traffic'ed promotion forum guarantee'ing results and activity. Now if there is a small promotion forum just starting out, but is humble and does not claim to deliver something they cant deleiver then I would give it a chance. So would mostly everyone else. Thats how these sorts of forums grow bigger and become something worth everyone's time.

What bothers me the most is that every new promotion forum has the same usergroup colors as FP 😀

Admins are blue
Community Team is green
Package team is orange
Review Team is red

I don't rely use any other promotion sites at all, the only one I ever do use is this and I used to use forumadvertiser until it closed.

I do find most other promotion sites do copy things from this site but then again they is not rely many other ideas what people can use.
