Don't You Just Hate These Sort of People Online That Despise Your Helpfulness and Thoughts?

I was literally was trying to talk to a user who wanted to gift their friend a server build for their Minecraft server on another forum, so they could "home host it".

I explained to them about the poor performance of the 3770 CPU they had lying around (recommending at least a 6700K due to modern Minecraft's version demands) and like totally lost it with me. when I was also touching up on ISPs' terms, DDoSes, etc etc etc.

They gone to the point of trashing me as a person (Said that "I am not able to read", calling me an "idiot", that "I don't know what I am doing" and etc) and my business (saying that "it's a joke", "it's not real" etc etc etc just because I don't have office locations, a "joke" about us, and so on).

I mean seriously, just be happy someone cares to reply to you and give you probable pointers, thoughts and such. It's a free country and so is the internet...

I've learned that when people run out of things to back up their position that they resort to condescension and insults. It's frustrating but I've also learned to stay on topic and ignore their vitriol.

Exactly and exactly what I did but they ended up doing that harshly in the end. So I "funny" reacted them and moved on from the thread entirely.

They will look like the real idiot seeing as they "revenged" that with funnying all of my posts on their thread. Not my problems. 😀

Remaining professional will always put you on top and not many people will want to deal with that user in the future.

Exactly! By being rude and disrespectful publicly like this the next time such user makes a thread if they even allowed to anymore will yields few if anybody willing to help and assists them. Plus unlikely to get them "high quality" contents like I to contribute if I am able to to the concerned matters.

Some people online are total idiots and a lot of them wouldn't say similar things to your face, so never take what they say to heart.

I try and always remain 'above' individuals that want to flame, keeping a calm and positive disposition which quite often dispels their desire to keep on flaming and move on. I also try and disregard people's (ill-informed) judgements on me: The most important views on how I am as a person is my family's and God's, and as long as I try and act right by both, I am at peace with myself 🙂

This is something I never understands people thinks the Internet is their "escape and excuse" to act majorly differently than in person public places. But news flash to those who still don't get that memo, just like you wouldn't act like that in your local park, doesn't means you should online either.

Exactly where "killing them with kindness" usually all it is needed but not this person so I left the thread in it's entirely as a result.

Some people are just trash and are worthless human beings. It doesn't matter how much you help them. They'll still piss on you at the end of the day. Best give them the finger and move on.

I myself am more bold online than face to face. But that's because I write better than I talk (introvert in me).
I've had to deal with rude people. I try to remember this quote I had found:

That's a good quote. But still. There's been times that someone has said something in public to me and I really wanted to fly off of the handle and say something back or flip them off. I don't because I hate confrontation and I refuse to stoop to their level.
