Send in a support ticket to the host? Check their support forums to see if they've posted about it?
Wait it out / go do something else and and hope it will be back up when you come back to check?
Contact them, but I would check about first just to see if they were updating. But during the meantime I would either browse other sites, or go out on my BMX and get carried away.
1st I check the forum with a proxy to make sure I didnt get IP banned by the server or something.
If its really down, I usually just go post on other forums or get off the computer.
If I come back later and its still down I will check the support forums. If they haven't posted about it by then, then I will put in a ticket.
Luckily Ive only had a couple instances of downtime on my current host.
They always are on top of things and updating the server status and exactly what they are doing on their support forums.
Right now I'm on a small host. If my forum is down I'll just see if the owner is on MSN and if so I'll ask. Otherwise I'll check the support forum if it's not down also or see if a Support Technician is available and if so I'll ask through Live Support.
Check the support forum and see if they've posted updates, or I'll send them an email if they have email contact, or I'll just wait it out and post elsewhere.
I'd just check the support forum to see if anyone mentioned it. If not I'd just wait it out until it gets suspiciously long. All servers go down every once and a while.
We are in downtime at the moment, but hopefully for the last time. I sent out a mass email too soon about moving lol. They are switching nodes (whatever that is) which is the fault that has been causing us to have all these problems. What is a node, though?
