Honestly spoken it can be fun. Being that I like drama myself in most cases (though it can be boring after awhile), I like to play along. Being a webmaster can be extremely stressful, sometimes you just have to have fun with things.
I was battlling with the ultimate drama queen a while back. She would follow me around from from to forum and call me out for every thing I would post. Im glad she went away. Drama is not fun at all.
Well, there is a clear line between fun drama and annoying drama with no real purpose. The play a long fun drama can be anything from making jokes with staff and pushing along a rumor that's clearly untrue (with no harm done). Annoying drama is more like stalking, spamming, things in that range.
I'd say forum "wars" are probably the most annoying if you ask me. Competition is one thing, but some people can really take it too far. The worst part is that it gets to a point where the admins aren't to blame, the staff carry out most of the actions.
Yeah like the whole FA/FP thing.
Staff members would fight with each other and some one try to get on staff with either forum and the report whats being said in the staff room to the other forum.
It was all very childish.
The drama about FA closing down was annoying, it went on for seriously months. It closed down people, get over it.
The drama I like, is sitting back with popcorn (lol not really) and watching two intellectual human beings fight it out on a flame war. Gold stuff right there. Sadly, now If I see it, it is a lock 🙁
The ultimate drama llamas are the ones who feign they hate it...yet are the ones who yearn it, they are attracted to it like a magnet, and sit in the wings waiting to participate...🙂
Or the ones that drag old drama up....just to get one up on someone else.
Let it goooo losers.😉
It depends. Sometimes it can be rather boring and the person causing it needs to shut up. On other occasions it can be entertaining and you don't want it to stop. 😛
Most of the time, I just sit back and laugh. Once, I was a moderator on a forum (still am), and this one noob member came in and started posting everywhere like a noob. Anyways, the member (can't call a gender) eventually made a thread that said they were leaving. It went on for 10 pages before I closed it. XD
I don't think I have had a member that is to terribly dramatic, however I did have one girl on a forum of mine named Sara that seemed to have her only little mood swings which where difficult to not go off on.
I don't like drama but if someone irritates me on a forum, I'll show it that they have made me irate. I would bark back too regardless, unless I was a member of staff of course. Does make me laugh how people can say this that and that when they themselves are known to cause misery for many forum users.
I have a mod that is a drama queen... Its doing my head in and I would love to demote (again, she was admin) her but she actually hasnt done anything wrong... I'm sitting on the "de-mod" button for when she does though
For example, she went against an admin dicision and made a snide comment about it on the public boards. I removed the offending part of her post and left the actual reply to the OP. This was a few months ago now but she still goes on about how awful it is to censor people.
Should stick to the effing rules then shouldnt she?!
