When I first joined FP I was enthusiastic about participating in the post exchanges since there are quite a few forums that pique my interest. But recently a family member was diagnosed with cancer and I'm finding that my mind does not want to concentrate enough to come up with good posts/threads.

Eventually I'll clear my mind and start doing post exchanges. I promise. I just need to get past this.

What do you do when you draw a blank? Usually I google some key words and build up questions using that method. But what helps you?

I been feeling like this all week if not two weeks to the point that I have been dong less posting, I read allot and reply but now for me I just skip and I might read but can't be bothered to answer back.

Mostly I got other things on my mind and or just things happening.

I spend some personal time alone, try a walk in nature, yoga, meditating, or some form of quiet relaxation. Run a hot bath, light a relaxing candle and add some lavender bath-salts to the water. Basically, I try and restart myself mentally by focusing on clearing my mind through relaxing technics and methods which help put my mind at ease so I can better strategize a plan moving forward.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss, best of luck getting back on your feet.

Do you think it's just the winter doldrums?

Oh, I didn't mean to imply that she has passed...she just got the diagnosis and it's an aggressive cancer so it's a 50/50 chance I guess?

With me, it's not needing to relax. It's more the fact that I just don't feel like coming up with anything to post.
