Drunk/Stoned Members?

How can you tell? Just wondering.
Sometimes they will type gibberish which isn't common for their posts. I have had a few that just outright admit it.

I used to be in a community with a guy who would openly admit he would be drinking. His spelling and grammar was atrocious. Writing stories was one of the parts of this community that people could participate in, and I would usually be kind enough to edit his stories and provide feedback. There were times where he'd have great spelling and grammar, but they were few and far between. Dude was fine most of the time otherwise, but he ended up eventually parting ways with the community.
It doesn't seem to be a reason for concern unless it is causing behavior that otherwise violates the community rules. Then, maybe a conversation with the user and temporary restrictions would be warranted, just to make sure that things do not progress further.
This as long as members can behave themselves while browsing the forum, I don't mind it. If they start harassing others or talking nonsense then I will ask them to return when they are sober.
As long as they don't cause a problem or brag about it, they're free to be intoxicated.

Usually you can tell when someone is stoned or even drunk by how they type and even the things they do. If they are a regular member, you can tell the difference in their behaviour almost instantly.
If they end up posting nonsense or gibberish around the forums, a small suspension to stop them from posting usually works.
