Hey,
I have a slight problem. My DSL has always been fuzzy, but a tech recently worked on it and now it works perfect, except when my wireless desktop powers on. I have ATT DSL service maximum plan. Not Uverse. What happens is I browse and about a minute in i get the "DSL failed to connect" page. The desktop is connected wireless with a ASUS network USB card. It isn't too many wireless devices because when I power on my laptop with all my other wifi devices it works fine!

It could just be a compatibility issue. I'm assuming the DSL is paired with a router? If it is, then have you tried plugging in directly (without the router) with an Ethernet cable?

Otherwise, have you tried a direct wired connection from your DSL to your computer? I know that sometimes, ISPs ask you to install software for the DSL. And they can be annoying with the configuration.

The best idea would be to contact the ISP though.

Sounds Like malware.

Get Comodo Internet Security 2013 (free)

Boot Into safemode and do a full scan.

It was Just A suggestion trying to help, By scanning his pc he would eliminate that possibility if no malware was found.

I agree that Malware scans should be regularly performed. However, for his specific problem, it seems unlikely that malware would be on the first line of issues. 😛 It's possible, but definitely can't be determined with the information given by the OP.

Thats why I said "sounds like" It wont do any harm to Scan anyway, like you say.

Is It working now? or no?.

That's why I replied lol. You said "sounds like", which is why I asked how it could "sound" like that with the limited information provided. 😛 See my point?

Any interference possibilities? A cordless landline phone near the router/PC?

DSL is finicky, how many DSL filters do you have?

lol i do not have any malware, it scans the computer before shut down everyday. Also, this is a new problem, I have always been able to connect my desktop like this and it just pops up now.

4 filters, all phone lines covered that have phones. I did remedy the issue for now, I simply made my computer unprotected by the firewall on my router
