Duke nukem forever

After nearly 13 years of development time, Duke Nukem Forever is finally complete.

The game was on display at the Penny Arcade Expo this weekend in Seattle. Texas-based Gearbox Software confirmed they finished development of the title. Studio president Randy Pitchford said during a presentation the game is in the final polishing stages, and is coming in 2011 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. It will have a single-player campaign and competitive multiplayer.

But still, it's great to hear that the biggest gaming joke is actually coming out. 😛 Let's hope the wait was worth it.

Actually releasing DNF forever ruins the entire joke, and DNF has been hyped multiple times as the greatest game to be ever made. You can't live up to that.

Startcraft 2 wasn't announced 12 years ago, it was announced in 2007 😉

I don't see the game bringing in any new fans to the series, but old fans should be happy with the game that is if they still have fans of the series.

Stupid 2k Games in my opinion is highly stupid for even bringing this game back, Who cares? 13 years really? Anywho instead of developing this they could be working on an EVEN bigger announcement such as Borderlands 2? I mean I waited hours for that LIVE broadcast to come on air just to see a let down.

It has great potential but the series started when FPS's actually had a bit of a point. It felt unique. It is going to be really difficult for it to survive in today's world, unless it is mind-blowing.

2K had nothing to do with it for those 13 years... It was being Published by Take-Two, developed by 3drealms. And still 2k doesn't own it, gearbox now does so they're definitely gonna do more than one. It'll sell by name alone, even if it isnt that great.
