With services like Netflix, Hulu +, Amazon Video, etc, do you still use a DVD player? Do you prefer Blu-Ray?

I use mine when I rent movies from Redbox or am re-watching something, but I don't use it too often anymore as I have a smart TV that I use Netflix with.

Now almost all of my time to enjoy high quality video is on my computer, I don't need any DVD player

I have a VCR/DVD player combo that I received for Christmas....I want to say it was last year. I use it occasionally, although I use the VCR more than the DVD.

The funny thing is, I have a Blu-Ray player. But I've never used it. I stream content from my PC straight to my TV. So there is really no use for it. I should also mention that I have a Blu-ray player+burner in my computer as well lol.

Interesting, surprised to see you still use VCR's and that they still have combos like that around.... why do your prefer them over DVD's? Personally the only VCR's I still own are family/friend home video recordings with a few old time-y movies.

I still have a VCR, but it don't work anymore.

I have lots of DVDs and got a DVD player. I work alone and on graveyards, so I can "sneak" it in and watch movies when I got nothing to do.

I didn't say i prefer one over the other. I like cassettes and DVD equally. All i said was that VCRs are easier to work than DVD players. I like DVDS as they don't get wrecked too easily like tapes do and sound quality is usually a lot better
