How Much content would it need? What software would I use to make it?Volux said:I think it is worth a shot. I think you should label it as a guide though with strategies and tips and such. Many are out there, but if you can show some unique things in yours, it's bound to work.
I have to say you bring up some good points. User500, good luck with your book, but like Infinite said, you might have a hard time finding a good base of people to buy it from you.InfiniteJest said:Honestly, and when I say this i'm probably going to come across as a major jerk but please know I say this solely in the interest of being helpful, if you're not an absolutely top of the line gamer, no one is going to care, and even then its shaky. As someone who dabbled in semi-professional gaming for upwards of 6 months I can tell you a majority of the kids you play with online, or who play video games in general are far too proud to look for, let alone pay for help. Everyone thinks that they're the best at every video game, despite the fact most players are just painfully average at best. To write a guide for video games would be not dissimilar to going to a public place and offer the men passing by a way to get away with an affair they may be in. Odds are if the man is in an affair he would kill for your help, but the idea of accepting it in front of people, thus forfeiting the vale of secrecy and false integrity he has makes it impossible for him to do. If in my experience I had found gamers to be a more humble demographic i'd encourage you strongly to write this eBook and pursue this goal of yours, but knowing how much the average video game playing person has their head in their rearend and the size of their egos, its really not worth it.
