Eating odd food in the village

This topic reminds me when I go to Greece and visit my parents villages, some good food and then also some interesting food. 😛

It's actually my first time eating it in over 15 years, so it pretty much feels like my first time eating it again.

I have never eaten roasted yam, but I am opened to any idea of eating new recipe except bugs, rats, etc.

The roasted yam is a meh - I've had that before but the oil? Was it used to roast the yam or did you use it as some kind of gravy?
