Eating Out - What is important to you?

When I eat out at a restaurant I of course want good quality food and temperature. I also appreciate attentive, friendly, efficient service. I generally do not like to use public restrooms but when I do I want it to be clean.

What is important to you when you eat out?

When I eat out, I will eat out at a place more often if they do the following:

1. Keep the place clean, on more than just an hourly or daily basis. I find it disgusting, and not worth my time if the employees do not clean up after those who had just eaten there.
2. Fast and efficient delivery of food.
3. Good or Great Food Quality.
4. Friendly.
5. Willing to try to help improve your experience while there.

ANYWAY! Service is my biggest pet peeve. I want to be seated and not wait a long time to be asked what I want to drink.

I find over friendly waiters or waitresses to be a pet over for me, just let me enjoy my food without hovering over me. They should just check now and again.

The place needs to be clean, with efficient and relaxed service.

Great service. No one wants some staff who don't even care about their customers and act rude. If they're nice, customers are more likely to come back time and time again.

Thanks for all of your input you guys - I am working on a restaurant review website which will highlight my experience at local restaurants I visit. I just want to make sure I'm covering all the basics. 😉

The place has to be very clean, no trays or dishes on tables waiting to be bussed. They should be really prompt about cleaning up.

Also, very fast service is important. If the place is fast food, then they will have enough cashiers so there are no long waits in line.

Nice servers, very helpful.

And, the food should taste really good.

Most important, the restaurant should be quiet, not too busy or loud. I don't like crowded places and would prefer to go when not many are there.

We don't go out often, so I want to be sure the experience is enjoyable for my family.

Quality of the food is #1 for me. If i'm going to a nice or nicer sit down restaurant I expect amazing food above all else. I can deal with poor service or it being too loud. But if the food is crap, then everything doesn't matter anyway.

We actually have a place like that in my town. Most people complain about it.

The restaurant is called the Red Apple Grill and it has a bug problem and the food doesn't taste so great. I hardly ever ate there to begin with so it doesn't matter to me as I never go there.

But I agree, the place has to be clean and I prefer when its not as busy.

The number one thing on a restaurant that I will never go back to is if I get food poisoning like I did for a week on the day of my 24th birthday, it was from Wendy's and I ordered their baconator.

They didn't cook the bacon all the way and I was sick for a week and had to see a doctor because it was getting worse. So I will never eat there again. That was so horrible. 🙂

Good food and service, local art on the walls and a music playlist that is something other than lounge music.

I don't go to sit down restaurants too often, but here's my personal preferences.

• Friendly staff
• Food comes out in a timely manner
• Restaurant is clean
• Appropriately gets rid of children who are annoying, loud and won't sit down.
