Same thing happened to me back when I had a forum. If you get to be 'the best' by sending annoying PM advertisements on other forums where it's against the rules then I never want to be the best.

Interesting - I enjoyed portions of the music section. However, is it true you joined other boards then PM'd those members to get them to join your site?

The pics of various music gear are of interest, keep up the good work, looks like you have 1,500 members with an avg of 60 members being active at any given time. You should try to shoot for 10% to 20% total activity if not more of your total member base. We only have 107 members and continue to grow each week but over 25% to 30% percent of them are active at any one time with another 20% that visit several times per month. If you can get yourself up in the total active percentage then your board will blow the 2,000 member mark very fast.

Again, I truly hope you do not do what a few have pointed out, you simply do not need to do that to get members. Your board speaks for itself, it's not bad, not bad at all.

I also like the marketing ploy about not having to use a URL in the signature, I am willing to bet you get hits just for saying what you do, that is the only reason I checked it out, so that marketing ploy works 🙂
