Re: The Facebook Forum

Sounds Interesting. I also like how you're catering to both English and Spanish speakers alike. That is very helpful. I clicked on the Register en Espaniol deal, and I got this whole TOS thing in Spanish. I'm thinking, "Sweet!" I'm not Spanish, but that's a very good idea, though. Good luck with your forum.

Re: The Facebook Forum

Interesting indeed. Never seen anything like THIS before.

But a good idea definetly!

I am not a huge fan of facebook so i'm not going to register, but good luck with it anyway.

Oh yea, and it seems to lag for me 🙁 . IDK about you guys, but the scrolling for me seems like it lags.

Re: The Facebook Forum

Hey Nacho, I see you cater for spanish users, well over at my forum I've just released a spanish rank set, if you want a copy you can download a set for free.

Re: The Facebook Forum

The site contains too many annoying popups to "Register".
I know you really want to push for that, bug it really bogs down the browser performance.
I had to close the site to remove the lag.

Re: The Facebook Forum

I had one pop up to "Register", I closed that.
Then on the bottom right, I had another there flashing.
That might be the cause of the lag, it's just too flashy.

Re: The Facebook Forum

As others have mentioned, the site is incredibly laggy for me. It looks like you're having a lot of success, though, so congratulations! 🙂

Re: The Facebook Forum

At first, I thought it was the clock. However, the forum index doesn't have it, and it still lags. :/ I'm not sure.

Re: The Facebook Forum

It could be your hosting / server.
From what I can see you're getting a fairly large amount of visits.
With all the fancy stuff you may have going plus so many users visiting, that could slow everything down.

Not to mention the more popular your site is, the more open you could be to DDOS attacks.
Some low-life members you possibly banned could hold such a grudge.

In which case you also need to ensure your host has protection from such attacks.
But don't forget to ensure your site is getting the resources it needs from the server, if it needs more CPU/Memory, and the host won't give it, you may need to find a new host that will fit your needs.
