If electricity from fossil fuels or nuclear powers the grid, then what environmental impact is there with electric cars? I mean smog would be reduced, but you'd just get smog somewhere else and still a carbon footprint. I mean, if electric cars were to be legit, they'd need to be powered from solar or from green energy specifically - which isn't the case.

Here's a problem. 3rd and 4th world countries aren't capable of doing it. It would be nice if we could get everyone on board with green energy.

Everything boils down to money.

You're correct. I wish that some countries like North Korea, would dedicate more time to caring for their citizens, stop with the occasional empty nuclear threats, and do what needs to be done. That means giving up nuclear weapons, start doing business so they can attain a stronger economy via foreign currency, quit murdering their citizens over petty crimes, quit making deals they back out on, and get their people off of their feet.

Look at South Korea. They are such a prosperous hard working country and so much more than they were after the Korean War, they're now more advanced than North Korea who is still stuck in the 1950's. At one time after the war, the North was ahead of the South. But because North Korea operates more as a fascist government similar to Benito Mussolini's Italy during WW2. They are not making progress, they haven't been making progress for a long long time.

The leadership sucks because Kim Jon Un and his family has pissed off so many countries resulting in government sanctions against North Korea that cut off trade and future deals. If there's no trust towards a country at all, meaning no trade or foreign currency as a result, that country could suffer horrible long term effects. It's really the citizens of that country that are the true victims who suffer because they have a shitty and worthless government that is not dependable.

Unfortunately, we can't expect countries like that to advance for green energy. Not as long as it's in the sorry state that it's in.
