email accounts?

Hi, i went to www.domains.live.com and set up a email account for www.advertisehotspot.com

they said i have to verify i'm the owner of the domain and they asked me to create a cname or such. Any help on this?

Cname & A records are usually used when the the domain owner gets his own custom name servers. They are found in the co ntrol panel of your domain through your domain registrar.

I have never heard of any company asking for Cname records for verification of ownership before. Sedo and some other companies do ask for verification of domain but they just need a screen-shot of domain's control panel.

For the future, (if your host allows it, all of mine have) just go into cpanel, create an email, and forward it to your email.

he means that most of the hosting companies provide you the feature to have e-mail addresses like whatever
@yourdomainname.extension
