Email Viruses on the incline

Has anyone else noticed the incline of email viruses that have been spreading? In the last few days, I have gotten numerous emails saying weird things with links looking something like "dhs2js.sdjs.in" or something like that. The one I just deleted had a title of "Freak wow" and saying something about how I was a freak for breaking up with him over email?...First of all I'm not homosexual so I'm like laughing at this email hysterically.

So who else thinks that hackers are trying to bring back email viruses more then before?

If I do get emails like that, they automatically end up in my spam box and get deleted without notice. They seem to be from sources I don't recognize anyways, so I enver bother to read them.

Gmail is pretty good with spam, but these messages are MASS mailed to a lot of people but some of these are getting past my spam box.

My e-mail is over run with spam because I never check it, but I do get random messages on Facebook quite often.
