Emails not syncing

I have been accessing the set of my emails using the Yahoo phone app. One of the emails has a warning that it is not syncing anymore and needs permission to resume. It said that I should sign in to Yahoo. I’m confused because I’m already signed in. But just the same, I logged out from that particular email and logged in again. But the warning remained. I wonder what I really need to do. Any opinion on this?

You could uninstall and reinstall the app. That will often fix more persistent errors.

You might have an option to sync manual, I mean gmail has that option in the settings

Thanks for the advice above. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but to no avail. From what I remember, it already happened once maybe last year or the other year. And I don't remember what I did. I opened the questionable email in the computer using Firefox and I changed the password just to play safe. But the problem in the phone app remains the same. I'm really confused.

Use a different email client rather than the Yahoo app? Or maybe it's time to get new provider, I recommend ProtonMail or Tutanota.

Yahoo is garbage, I used them for several years and I’ve noticed the decline in their service. There’s always a down for maintenance screen, there’s always glitches in their apps, if I send an email it won’t actually be sent for 12+ hours, etc.

I switched to gmail. It’s a lot better. Pretty much the best free email service you can use.

Gmail's nice but there are privacy issues. I highly recommend Tutanota they are a Germany email service based around strict privacy laws. Only bad part is if you are on free plan the sending limits are strict like only 100 sent messages (it varies) per day. If you upgrade the limits are much higher.

This is the first time I've heard of Tutanota. So that is aside from Gmail and Yahoo. I had created a gmail account before but I was not comfortable with it so I remained with Yahoo until now. Maybe I will try this Tutanota and will shift to using that if I would be comfortable with it. Thanks for this info, much appreciated.

This is the first time I've heard of Tutanota. So that is aside from Gmail and Yahoo. I had created a gmail account before but I was not comfortable with it so I remained with Yahoo until now.
