Today has to be the worst day of my life as well as the worst Christmas in my life. Today we got a phone call saying my grandfather is not doing well.
In the past, he has had 3 bypasses, 2 heart attacks, open heart surgery, two clogged arteries. He's 69 years old.
Today we got there and he was locked up in his office in his chair not talking to no one and wanted no one to be in there with him. My mother and sister were the only ones that he would let in. He wasn't moving in his chair and he was white as a ghost. He was throwing up as well. He had vitals of 16 breaths a minute and heartbeat of only 32 beats a minute. He kept looking up to the ceiling saying "Do you see that?" Taking hard breaths just to talk. We didn't see anything but we knew what he was talking about. He said he saw his father and his father was talking to him. He said he didn't want to go anywhere and wanted to die tonight and go home. Me, I was crying unbelievably. We called 911 and they sent 2 ambulances. The EMS had said that if he would have stayed, that he was well on his way back to another heart attack.
They finally got him onto the stretcher and loaded him into the ambulance and took him to the hospital. They have him stabilized but not any better than he was in the chair. I'm just really really scared for him and do not wish for him to go home yet.
If this is not too much to ask from anyone reading this, please take a moment to pray for my grandfather.
