I love his new album, I love every song he has made, but I wouldn't want him to go back on drugs and the way he was; that hasn't made a tremendous impact on his rapping in some aspects. He is aging as well, of course he is gonna lose some stuff and it will mellow out, it happens. But I still love it and so do millions of others.
Although he cannot make better music than his old ones, he still make new great ones. I'm currently addicted to "Not Afraid" and "Love The Way You Lie" while I still enjoying his old songs..
Drugs and alchohol made him what he is today, and really I would hate to see him go back to his old ways but when he wrote sogs on drugs and booze, those were best.
I don't like the best of his album but it's good.
You do realize people that half of you are saying his songs on new album aren't good do you even realize what he's saying in half of them? And or go into detail on them? Most if not ALL of the songs on his new album mean something to him, Hence the name "recovery" And he even like I said admits that his last two albums "didn't count" as Relapse and Encore i believe are the two upon which he say's don't count, As they plainly sucked.
Breaking down the Recovery album, it shows a lot of bravery and wit to pull it off. Eminem knew that going back to the old Marshall Mathers LP days were out the window because he didn't want to go back to the lifestyle he had then. Recovery shows that he has come on, and not resorted to a single style, every album has been different, and the lyrics if you listen just get better with each one.
Fave tracks:
Cold Wind Blows
Space Bound
Almost Famous
and On Fire
I really like this album and think it's one of his best.
