If you want to end poverty in the world the first thing you must learn is communication. This is something I have attempted over and over, but it seems not many like to bother to pay attention to.
Like with the healthcare bill aka 'Ryancare'. I tried to push for debate so we could have had a better bill, but the democrats refuse to debate and Ryan is just to bloated and full of himself with his ego.
Communication, debate and find a solution to problems. This is how we can start fixing a lot of problems we face in this world, but people have become so used to follow as I say not as I do with the political correct system. They have forgotten to think for themselves and debate on core and real issues and constructive thinking. If we do this we can solve poverty in fact very easily in the world. We have the necessary services as well as materials to do so not just in the US, but in many other countries, but cooperation is a issue.
I'm the worse person to ask and I have no idea how I would go about it. I understand that in 2012 alone over $17 trillion was spent on war efforts and military by all countries worldwide! However it would take only $235 Billion properly spent to eliminate poverty on Earth forever! This should tell all a lot about who is running things economically and what their plans are! Just one country like Nigeria whose had well over $400 Billion in "flight capital" lootied since it's 1960 Independence could alone solve the entire worlds poverty! So what are we waiting for.
It's difficult to say. Possibly land ownership is a big problem and many places like El Salvador (the source of immigrants to the US) are full of gangs and bullies driving locals away and the Arab World is torn with a refugee crisis.

Since the elite classes are so corrupt, I'd say the regular people would have to improve their own education and future while ignoring the elites - who have never had any intention of helping them.
Not sure we have the technology to end poverty yet, at least worldwide. It would require a lot of resources, and it's very hard to do without corruption leaching away all the resources and money. I do think there are some things though that could be done to help prevent things like homelessness. If you're homeless, you probably need some kind of help; it would provide a net benefit to society to offer this, rather than leaving them out in the cold.
As long as there are people who desire to be or stay rich then there will be always be poor people. It's not to say we shouldn't do anything to reduce poverty but eliminating poverty from this world is never going to happen.
Poverty will never truly be ended. It isn't really because of the "rich", or anything to do with that. Obviously, if we stopped fighting wars, we could make a solid dent in the population living in poverty, but that will never happen. I think that the best thing we can do now is to stop allowing the government to help, and instead do something ourselves.
They advertise for fast food workers, waitstaff, and bus drivers all the time. However, not everyone can do those jobs. As for the net, where are the buyers? There is no way to reach them as advertising is too high for the poor.
I think the governments can possibly end poverty - but they'd have to make guaranteed check, assuming you absolutely couldn't work of at least 2000 USD a month in the US, and possibly ones of a few hundred a month in places like Nigeria. Is that possible - or would it require looting of the oil gangsters?
Oh, by the way, I'm speaking of checks to individual people. Kids or husband and wife cannot share.
The first stage would be getting the internet to those areas as the access to information would help them learn how to farm better and share what works the best with other people.
Inflation needs to slow down, especially with regards to rent. Also, the population needs to come down, unless there is some way to move them somewhere else, like a Mars colony or something.
People's desires differ and the world has beyond such control except through God intervention. People work as cleaners, security guards, and all sort of low paid jobs. If you are to eradicate poverty these people mentioned above will have their standard of living improved and may not be willing to do such jobs anymore. The problem is that the powerful men and women need the services of less privileged people, so they will do anything to keep poverty alive.
