England vs. USA

wow good game wished england would win. That pathetic goal by USA sucked.. =/

England was lucky. If it wasn't for Gerrard and maybe Glen Johnson, the US would have easily won. Heskey's a donkey like he always is and I kind of want Crouch to start in place of him yet. Nonetheless, the US blocked Rooney well and he was a lazy ass.

Crouch instead of Heskey? I don't think so. Heskey had an incredible game, as Richazey points out. England did play better football and had more serious opportunities.

You say USA could have easily have won? What, with a few more goalkeeping mistakes?

He missed quite a lot of good chances and most of his shots were just going straight at him. To be perfectly fair as well, Crouch was much better at getting the ball and winning 50/50s than Heskey was.

And yeah, they could've easily won. Like England, they had a lot of really good chances at the end, and I felt they played a bit harder at the end, but it was really Defense that said otherwise.

Anyone notice how Green didn't have his body behind his hands which is mainly what helped us tie.

Well, it's also the Jabulani. Keepers like Julio Cesar (Brazil), Gianluigi Buffon (Italy), and even David James have all been complaining about it. That said, Green should've had the ball, and he should've been behind it, rather than having it on his right side of his body.

Having said all I said, I am going for England and have been since I started watching soccer in 2002. My family's from a (former) British Colony.

if crouch had come on a little earlier because england had so many crosses that nobody could reach.

England played better than USA, but Howard stopped them from scoring. Green is probably having nightmares. 😀

Let's put it this way, USA won't get very far in the World Cup, there defense ain't great, there goalkeeper probably should have been man of the match. Yes I was going for USA.
England have a strong team who put their heads down to much when they are down 1 - 0, but yet again I don't see why so many young talented players like Rooney, Gerrard, Lennon, Lampard play with top English teams who constantly win against teams from France, Spain, Germany and what not.

At the end of the day, Green made a mistake, USA didn't know what they were in SA for, and I am a Manchester United fan I just can't like the country England not the team.

End of the day we played the 2nd best side in the group and based on what I have seen Algeria and Solvenia we will have no problems getting maximum points form next two games.

I do think certain personnel need changing though

I'm watching Algeria and Slovenia play now. They really aren't that great at all. Easy points for England and the USA.

England vs. USA was lame.

A tie 1-1?

Ties are lame.
