Hi Everyone! I invite you to visit EntitledStories.com and read some truly great stories about some truly horrible people, as well as submit your own!

Entitled Stories is a community dedicated to sharing stories about the most entitled people, those people who think the whole world revolves around them. We have categories including:

  • Entitled Parents - Stories about people who think the whole world revolves around them, just because they have a kid
  • Retail Hell - These are stories about the horrors of working retail and the horrible experiences retail workers have when working with customers
  • Pro Revenge - Stories about getting sweet, well deserved revenge
  • Malicious Compliance - Stories about when following the rules makes everything worse
  • HOA Hell - Stories about living in an HOA and all of the power-hungry busybodies that comes along with that
  • And More!
We invite you to come and read our stories, as well as post some of your own! Right now we have a great story about a mechanic who is mistaken for a babysitter as well as a great story about an HOA that tries to poison the tree of someone not even in the HOA! That is just a sample of the great stories we have on our site currently!

We also have the Am I The Butthole? community, where you can tell the community what happened and find out if you are the butthole in a situation.

We hope that you'll come and read some great stories, post your own and stay awhile!

Cool idea and hilarious branding - I see this picking up traction if you keep getting new stories added. My only real critique as of now is the story paragraph content could use more line height, but that didn't stop me from reading through a few stories.

Edit: other ideas as I further browse your site...
  1. Wasn't sure if I could upvote without an account, and clicking an upvote arrow doesn't do anything when logged out. Maybe a popup with a register form or direct link to the login/register page could help get more registrations.
  2. After I signed up—without selecting any communities—I returned to the front page to see the stories feed removed. This technically makes sense as I didn't select any communities, but it feels like I was penalized for signing up and taking the easiest way forward during registration. It may be better to keep the feed the same if no options are selected, then start filtering once a selection is made.
  3. On that note, I didn't realize I'd get a cool account area before signing up and it may be worth mentioning that as a benefit of registering to the site.

I'll have to visit this. I like stories about horrible people to make me feel better about myself. xD

@Mangini thanks for the comments! Looking at the site again I agree the paragraph copy could use some more line height to make things more readable. I'll roll that into a future update. Also like your suggestion about the upvote arrow. For unregistered users I think I will make it link to the login / registration form.

I'm curious why you chose to choose no communities when you signed up. I would think the easiest way forward would be to choose the "Show me stories from all communities" option on registration. When you chose no communities, what was the behavior you expected to see from the website?

Also, good point about the account area, but I'm not sure how I would promote that more. Maybe just some text on the registration page? Anything specific that you thought was cool so I can point that out to users before they register?

@HolisticStorm look forward to seeing you there!

I read through a couple stories the other day and they're well written and kept my attention! It's a cool concept and I hope more people can contribute.

I like unique ideas. Those one of a kind you don't see anywhere else. Good niche you have here 🙂

I do remember seeing that as an option now, but maybe it was unchecked? The crux of what I'm trying to get at is there shouldn't be a way for me to end up with a feed with no content.

I was thinking something like this when you click Upvote. The "Account benefits" section can also show on your current registration page if you just link:

@Mangini that's nice, I like that a lot! I'll look into implementing that this weekend. 🙂

I'll also see if I can come up with a solution to ensure users never end up without any content. Maybe I will restrict it so you can't submit the form without choosing at least one category.

Looking forward to the changes! Thanks for hearing out my feedback.

I hope more people post interesting stories! They're great to read 🙂

A reminder that we're still running a contest where your story could win you a $10 US Amazon.com gift card! See here for rules and how to enter.

Did you get your 10 stories for the contest? I haven't been out much to encounter any entitled people to write about them 🙁

@Lämmchen we haven't had anyone enter the contest yet. We've had a couple of new stories posted, but still looking for 10 people to enter the contest so we can give away a $10 Amazon gift card.

We have other categories besides just entitled people. We have malicious compliance, which are stories where someone is told to do something they know will end badly, but rather than argue they do it anyway, usually with disastrous results.

We also have "Am I the Butthole" where you get to tell us what happened and we decide if you were in the right or a butthole.

Also hoping to launch a new category this weekend, "Today I Messed Up", which will be stories about times people have screwed things up.

We just launched a new story category, "Today I Messed Up", which is a place where you can post a story about how you messed up today. Do something stupid like locking yourself out of your car? We want to hear it! Accidentally fed the dog the wrong food and now he has explosive diarrhea? We want to hear it!

Post your story today! It could win you a $10 Amazon.com gift card!
