There are two things that I immediately noticed when viewing the index page of your forum. The logo for one and the shoutbox, second. The logo is great, in my opinion; it is professional and unique. The text looks good, too. The shoutbox, on the other hand, stands out like a sore thumb and really takes away from the forum being visible at the very top like that.
The forum is easy to navigate. All of the main, needed, links are located in the top menu bar where they should be. That said, the rest of the forum's overall structure is weird for me.
First, as I mentioned before, the shoutbox/chatbox stands out like a sore thumb. Those types of things take away from a communities discussion. At least, that has been my experience with them. Having the shoutbox at the top as how it is now; doesn't make me want to stay on your forum or continue looking around. Honestly, I feel like it should be hidden from guest view and only available to members so that you do not discourage posting right off the bat. I know that's not your intention, but that is exactly what it does.
Then, I feel like the "Meta" category of forums should be at the top and you should include an About Us or About forum in that section to tell potential members what your forum is about. Personally, it took me several minutes to dig around enough to find out what Ethereum is. Being a computer nerd, I never heard of such a thing. Once I found it, I had to look it up to find out more information. Initially, I just thought it was a cool name for a forum. After further research, I discovered way more than I bargained for.
The main reason that I suggest moving that category and setting up an "About" or "About Us" board is because of how you advertise. You advertise on places like FP and other forums and sites that may or may not know anything about Ethereum. So, with that, it's important that any newcomers have easy access to that information.
I'm not really sure about the "Price" Box in the sidebar, it seems out of place and not needed on the forum. No one really needs to see it, and it's not important for members to see it staring them in the face.
For me, the design seems to lack oomph. What I mean is that it's boring and dull. That said, it also looks professional and clean. For the type of forum that it is, that is a good thing. The logo is great; I absolutely love it. The icon, the smooth lettering, the full logo is professional and fitting for the niche of the forum.
I do not particularly like the new/old images because they are overused by hundreds of other forums. That said, you could spruce them up and make them unique or create new ones to go with the Ethereum theme you have for the logo. Just a thought.
As far as originality goes, the forum nice is original. Like I said before, I had to research what the forum's main topic of discussion is. So, I think you hit the nail on the head there. The logo is original too.
The theme, however, seems to resemble a very default theme with slight modifications like almost every other myBB forum out there. I think the design lacks majorly in originality.

Overall, I think your forum shows promise. It could very well grow and become the greatest Ethereum forum on the Web. That said, I think it needs quite a bit of work yet. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing whatever changes you decide to implement.

As per Teg's suggestion, I think you just need a welcome message, a call to action compelling guests to join by explaining what the Ether currency is, and why people would want to use it over Bitcoin and Ripple based on the blog page you linked to in your "All about Ethereum" thread". Maybe use a few of those sentences as inspiration for your welcome message. 🙂

I love the theme. It looks really good and first time I've seen that myBB theme. I really like the icons you have chosen for the forum categories. Considering you have been open for around a month you should have a lot more posts. 62 is just way too low for a month open forum.
