Have you ever banned anyone on your forum?

I had to ban a spammer once and it was fun 😀

Yes, banned three users last month on a forum I am co-admin on, they both advertised immature/rude material and the other one was a test account. I am sure theres a thread around here simular to this.

I have done the same. Ive also banned a member for trying to steal images.

Yes, a lot of times when I used to be a moderator on DNT. At least one member a week it seemed, took a lot to keep the place free of spam bots and users who spammed for domains.

I typically delete spam bots when I spot them. I rarely ever ban actual people though. I find myself capable of defusing problems so I don't have to go that route when dealing with them.

Yes banned lots of people for loads of reasons, the most unusual ban i have ever done is when one of the mods banned another mod out of pure hatred.

Spam Bots, members who break the rules, and occasionally people who sign up just to promote their site and link their posts to it.

I have banned many people in my course of owning forums. Some were spam bots, others were hackers, trolls, and members removed for reasons.

In all my days of running and staffing on forums I have banned several, several members. Each one for a good, clear reason.
