I've had quite a few and the forums I've had a bad experience on are ones I've never came back to.

Yes, I also had a bad experience with a certain member always going against my posts and suggestions - seemed like he had a personal issue with me. But finally I to recovered it and he was noticed by the forum administrator and was banned for spamming around.

Well.. back when I was new to forums, one highly ranked staff "bully" me. I'm not going to name that website or say what happen. Google it if you want to know more. Also, today.. I'm the second person with the highest posts count on that forums.
I have had some bad experiences with people throughout the years but I don't think any of that "beef" still exists today. I run into people I've had a conflict with in the past, and we chat with each other just fine now. I hold no grudges against anyone.

I've had bad experiences but not really with the forums themselves (there was one funny one where the entire board would cease to function at random times and nobody could post anywhere except the shoutbox)
But mostly its with bad members or rouge staff that like to intimidate people with low post counts, which is why i have this compulsion to post like 20 - 30 messages on my first day to a new board

Certai fan forums have trolls as they may attract very opinionated people. People join these communities because they have strong feelings, and often enough they then make it their calling to persuade others. When that doesn't happen, or when people express the polar opposite opinion, well, then the gloves come off. this is common, and can get very very annoying.

Arguments with some members lead to that sort of situation.It's not a good idea to hate the entire forum.It's just my opinion ^^
There was this one forum where there was way too much drama and it got on some people's nerves. It did get a bit much after a while, though. There were also some rebellious members who didn't follow the rules. They were fine at first, though. 😛
