Do you ever have second thoughts about your forum? Lets share our doubts and woes. 🙂

There HAVE been times where after I get everything setup, I think "what a stupid idea!". I don't really think that anymore of any ideas I do now, I just research to see if it's a good idea first.

Actually I have a confession to make.

I deleted my forum today because I felt it was too much for me.

Not so much that but I felt that I was devoting too much time to it and felt that it was taking away from things that were more important.

Since than, I felt a huge weight lift off of my shoulders.

I guess now I can spend more time at FP since this site is way more fun than what mine was.

Yep. I'm just good being a member of something. Contribute my posts to this site and let the mods and administrators take it from here. 🙂

This^^

I set things up and it's like, "well wait a minute, what on earth am I doing here and what the heck, is that a typo?!" I mean I go all out from debating to arguing with myself. I think it's left up to how much patience you have, if you don't have any patience, you're going to get second thoughts even more than those with patience. xD

No I haven't really had second thoughts about my forum. Certain new features or aspects yes.

Maybe in the beginning, but now I'm 6 years in. The forum is far too established for me to have doubts about it.

:cheer:

Usually my thoughts daily 😛
But then I am like ehh I am stuck with it haha

No, though im struggling with the second one as its for a certain group of people so its going to be difficult to build up a membership because of that, I'll stick with it though because I believe in it, I'll never regret creating it though.

I haven't had second thoughts about creating a community. Though, I do continuously brain storm, it's hard to find active and determined staff members.

I think more about how I can improve the community and what kind of contest to launch to bring some more fun and possibly some new faces to the community.

That fear of giving up happens to many of us and to fight that fear of failure, you would be surprised to what your community will become if you work hard and continue to be better and better.

For instance, Webmaster Lounge was in the 500,000+ range of Alexa Global Ranking, now we are in just on the edge of 300,000 which in a short time is a huge accomplishment for us.

Another example would be the SERP's for competitive keywords. The key words used had Webmaster Lounge stuck on the 9th and 10th page but now, in a short time we've reach the 3rd page. This is also a huge milestone and this motivates you to work harder and strive to become even better.

If you're passionate about your niche and you continue to challenge yourself and want to become better? Then that hard work will eventually pay off.

Never give up!

There's been times where I get frustrated or whatever, and thought about getting rid of it. But never went through with it. Its my baby.
