I lied about the job that I was working at the time, as I omitted my current role (that I was leaving) from my resume as I thought the fact I was already applying for a new job looked bad on my part...Also said I could drive stick.
Nothing mattered in my role when I got the job though, and I lasted there a fair while.
The way I see it, it's more about overall attitude that would get you the job. There are inexperienced people who get jobs, and that's mostly because they had the right kind of attitude that their employers were seeking. There are many people who have completely useless degrees that can barely get them regular jobs to begin with. It's all about healthcare and IT these days, but even those fields are very, very competitive.
Haha, I don't think I have. I've always thought that it's best not to misrepresent your qualifications, otherwise you might get stuck in a job you can't do.
